This white wine is known for its dry, fruity palate. It is best when drank young in order to enjoy the fresh and aromatic aspects. There are notes of minerals, grass, and herbs. The color is light gold with flinty green hues. The Sancerre is crisp and aromatic, which makes it very delightful to drink.
The estate of Michel Vattan is located in Maimbray, northwest of Sancerre and south of Paris. There are three generations that have been working at the estate. Beginning in 1930, the family estate only started out with 2 hectares of vines and gradually grew to the 10 hectares that exist today. It is owned by the Vattan family, which has been passed down to the son of Roger and Andrée Vattan, Michel. Pascal Joulin has taken over since 2008, ever since working there since 2002.
