This Franciacorta is full and refreshing sparkling wine, with fruity and floral characteristics, pale yellow in color.
With a very intense bouquet and full, acidic tinge on the tongue, it is served best as an aperitif and suitable with a fish or white meat dish.
The Franciacorta Brut is obtained from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero grapes along the hillside vineyards, grown in calcareous, clayey soil.
This product has no year of production on its because the assemblage of wines is obtained from different years.
The Antica Fratta Brut received a silver medal in the 2016 Champagne and Sparkling Wines World Championships, along with an agreed panel score of 51.5 points.
The winery was built and held in high regard in the mid-1800s, in the Fratta area of Monticelli Brusati. The winery has seen a lot of reconstruction and restoration throughout the years since it has been built, but has managed to maintain its elegance and intentions of becoming the essence of Franciacorta.
