The Langhe Nebbiolo is a very approachable and drinkable wine, despite its high alcohol grade. Fruity on the palate, with smooth tannins, this is a very typical Nebbiolo. The deep red complexion is similar to Bordeaux and leaves a slow trickle on the edge of the glass to represent the body and concentration.
In 2007, the Langhe Nebbiolo scored 86 points in the Wine Spectator. The following year, it scored higher, at 89 points in the Wine Spectator. The Langhe Nebbiolo is considered the best quality for price.
Starting in 2009, Rivetto began specializing on green, biodynamic practices. Along with the vines, the winery also plants herbs, has an area for compost, and are planning to restore old wells and rain waters. The winery is based on a century of blood and suffering, but push forward towards sustainability and innovation.
