Tenuta di Collosorbo

Rosso di Montalcino DOCG

The Rosso di Montalcino is characterized by its velvety, fresh consistency. It has a fruity aroma that stays persistent throughout. This is a very versatile wine that is suitable for average time periods of aging. It has a medium body and has strong notes of earth and oak, along with cherry and cranberry on the finish.

The Rosso di Montalcino is produced from the same vineyards that make Brunello. It has scored 90 points in the Wine Spectator.

Starting in 1995, Collosorbo was inherited by the division of Tenuta di Sesta. The Ciacci family has owned the company since 1850, with the first bottle Brunello di Montalcino being produced in 1966. Today, Giovanna Ciacci, along with her daughters Laura and Lucia, hold strong tradition and each take part in making Collosorbo what it is.
