The Ripasso is characterized by its vibrant, ruby red color. It has notes of cherry, blueberry, spices, and licorice. It’s dry on the tongue and has a warm sensation overall. The Ripasso is soft and has delicate tannins and stays persistent throughout.

Valpolicella Ripasso has scored 88 points from the Wine Spectator, as well as the Wine Enthusiast.

Corte Lenguin is the wine-making company of the Vantini family. They have been around since the 1900s, creating wine in the classic area of Valpolicella. With over 10 hectares of vineyards, Corte Lenguin sits along the slopes of Mount Sant’Urbano and the plain of San Florian.

Area of Production: Valpolicella, 150-250m above sea level

Soil: Chalky, limestone, clay

Harvest Time: Manually picked in October

Vinification: Obtained by refermentation in the lees of the Amarone for 20-25 days

In the Cellar: Ages for 12 months in oak barrels

Alcohol: 13.5%

Serving Temperature: 18 degrees C

Pairings: Roasted/grilled meats, medium fat cheeses
