The Montefalco Rosso is characterized by its intense ruby color. It has a bouquet of fresh wild berries, blueberries, and raspberries. It has a full taste on the palate, with mild tannins. The Rosso is a wine that evolves best in bottle. If stored correctly, it can mature for at least 5 years.

Perticaia is situated on a farm in Umbria. Beginning in the early 90s, Guido Guardigli wanted to focus on producing wines that reflected his deep connection to the land. Wanting to focus on the present and future of great wine, but also maintaining the history of the old farms, Guardigli succeeded with his goal.

Varietal: 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino, 15% Colorino

Area of Production: Umbria

Harvest Time: Varies depending on variety of the grapes

Vinification: Maceration for 1 or 2 weeks, cold fermentation

In the Cellar: 12 months in steel vats, 6 in the bottle

Alcohol: 14 %

Pairings: Cold cuts, salami, pasta, pairs well with Umbrian and Mediterranean dishes as well
