The Brunello di Montalcino is characterized by its red color with garnet highlights. It has earthy notes and a persistent aroma of red fruits. The tannins are soft and not too harsh. There are small notes of vanilla and jam on the palate and has elegance with its palate. It is a nice wine to age, especially in the dark, without noise.
The Brunello has scored 91 points from the Wine Spectator and its first vintage was produced in 1978.
