The Brunello di Montalcino is characterized by its red color with garnet highlights. It has earthy notes and a persistent aroma of red fruits. The tannins are soft and not too harsh. There are small notes of vanilla and jam on the palate and has elegance with its palate. It is a nice wine to age, especially in the dark, without noise.

The Brunello has scored 91 points from the Wine Spectator and its first vintage was produced in 1978.

Available bottle sizes: 750ml vintage -  Magnum (1500ml) vintage 

Varietal: 100% Sangiovese

Area of Production: Montalcino, 400-500 m above sea level

Soil: Soil with loam and sand, has clay and marl elements

Harvest Time: 1st week of October

Vinification: Fermentation and maceration takes place for 20 days in steel and wooden vats

In the Cellar: Aged for 6 months in French oak, 30 months in Slavonian oak, followed by 12 months in the bottle

Alcohol: 14%

Serving Temperature: 18 degrees C

Pairings: Roasted red meats, aged cheese wild game
