Viandante is known by its floral tones of violet, along with hints of cherry. It’s strong-bodied, structured, and has hints of wood and spice. It is fresh and has the character of a great aged wine with tannins that are well-integrated. Since it is a pure Sangiovese, the end is slightly bitter.
From the Montecucco DOC, Viandante is considered the soul of the tenuta. Travelers would come to seek shelter and food here. Viandante has received many awards in Italy, including 16 points from Vinum, Top of Tuscany in 2015.
