The Cannonau di Sardegna is characterized by its garnet color, with intense and persistently full flavor. It is high in antioxidants known as polyphenols and has red fruit in the palate. It also has notes of spices and blackberry. The tannins are not overwhelming. The Cannonau can be aged for a long time.
The Cannonau scored 86 points in the Wine Spectator. Vigneti Zanatta was present at VinItaly 2017 and featured the Cannonau there.
