The Pinot Grigio is characterized by its pale yellow color. With a fragrance of white fleshed fruit and acacia flowers, this young white wine has fermentative aromas that stick out. It is pleasantly fruit and well-balanced with acidity and aroma.
The Russolo family has been making wines sine the late 800s, being the leading wine producer in the Pordenone region. The winery took its current form in 1974 when Iginio and his wine decided to start their own business. They purchased the San Quirino vineyards in 1990. In the early 2000s, the Russolo winery left its original headquarters for the San Quirino location, which was built in the center of the company’s cru, Ronco Calaj. Based on its location near the Friulian Alps, the microclimate plays a huge factor to the end result of wines produced. Russolo does its best to commit to offering an environmentally-responsible production. From replacing old fertilizers with organic soil, to using natural cork instead of synthetic materials, Russolo is huge on taking a greener approach with their products.
